Praying for the Persecuted Church in Pakistan

based on the Open Doors 2018 World Watch List

Nearly 4 million (2%) out of 197 million Paki-stanis are Christian.  Since conversion from Islam is seen as a cause for family shame, the main source of danger for Christians often comes from their own family.  Further persecution comes from radical Islamic groups that flourish under the favor of the army and government.  Thousands of Islamic education centers, dotting this country twice the size of California, teach youth to persecute Christians and other religious minorities.

Prayer points:

  • For whole families to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior at the same time.
  • For individual Pakistani converts from Muslim backgrounds to find favor with their family.
  • For Christian women and girls who live under the threat of abduction, rape, and forced marriage.
