Praying for Persecuted Christians in North Korea

based on Open Doors 2018 World Watch List

The primary driver of persecution against the 300,000 Christians (1% of the population) in North Korea is the state.  For three generations, everything in the country has focused on idolizing the leading Kim family.  Christians are portrayed as hostile enemies who need to be eradicated.  Neighbors and even relatives of Christians are highly watchful and report any suspicious religious activity to the authorities.

Prayer points:

  • For Kim Jong-Un and the country’s rulers to come to know Jesus Christ.
  • For protection of the church in North Korea.
  • For healing and restoration to take place in this country.
  • For strength and courage for Christians who suffer in prisons, labor camps, and remote areas.
